CapTax processes all your data locally on your device. No data leaves your device — not to any server, cloud, or external storage. This applies equally to the mobile app and web app (when used locally or offline-enabled).

CapTax does not collect, store, or transmit your personal or sensitive information.

• Files you upload for processing — handled only on your device.
• Basic crash information (optional, anonymous) to help improve performance.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To format and analyze your capital gains data for ITR and financial clarity.
• To debug and improve the user experience only if you choose to share crash logs.

4. Your Data Stays with You

• We do not retain any data.
• All processed information remains on your device/browser storage.
• You may clear app/web storage at any time or uninstall the app to remove all data.

5. No Cloud, No Tracking

CapTax doesn't use cloud storage or remote APIs for file processing. There are no trackers, ads, or analytics SDKs embedded.

6. Children's Privacy

CapTax is not intended for children under the age of 13. If you’re a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the app, you can clear its data or uninstall it.

7. Updates to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated occasionally. Any changes will be reflected here with a new “Effective Date” at the top.
